Project AORUS was initially thought as a simple show build with some watercooling and custom cables, but as it so often happens I got carried away and decided to custom make my own watercooling parts for the build. This includes two custom manifold plates. Plate one that sits on the [#132333#] connects all the major components such as GPU, CPU, motherboard and RAM into one big distributing plate. The second plate houses the reservoir as well as two D5 pumps and routes the fluid into the radiators in top and bottom as well.

This project was based upon the AORUS Z270X-Gaming 9, the flagship motherboard of the AORUS Gaming Series by GIGABYTE. This motherboard has a unique feature that was developed in cooperation with EK water blocks. We wanted to show off this feature as well as the boards uniqueness to support multiple pumps and multiple fans. With the Smart Fan 5 solution Project Hydro Core was able to overcome hardware and software limitations of competitors. The fundamentals of this build revolves around a liquid cooled system being the core element. We hope that with this we can show other enthusiasts the benefits of liquid cooling.
